i was approached by walt disney imageneering to design a book cover for the classic jules verne book. i spent so much of my childhood going to disneyland and spent most of my high school years sketching at the park and now for the first time one of my own illustrations is on display in the window of the five and dime store on buena vista street at the new california adventure!!! so exciting! it was fun to get a little steampunk into a disney park too…gotta represent ;)

How cool is this set of photographs by rraymonde on flicker? I really adore steampunk costumes and these really showcase that amazing attention to detail that I really admire since like 70% of the costumes are homemade. A really great photographer and a great costume are a match made in heaven.

The blog  A Beautiful Mess put up a really cool tutorial I thought you guys would like about transferring images onto a canvas using some cheap and easily found supplies. I bet this would be great for making a visually interesting family photo wall and I know for a fact you can get multiple canvasses in packs at Michael’s for a decent price if you bring a coupon. Totally worth a try!!
